December
11th, 2007
At one point Sunday As American as a Crane Kick to the Face was up by 40 points over Respect My Authority. That is until 4th quarter comebacks by Tony Romo (35 pts) and LaDainian Thomlinson (35 pts) put Respect My Authority up by 36 at the start of the afternoon games. Add in an impressive performance by Randy Moss (37 pts) and the Crane Kick was unable to recover, losing to Respect My Authority 168-230.
Despite being severely outgunned this week, the Crane Kick had bright performance from David Garrard (25 pts), Ryan Grant (25 pts), Greg Jennings (23 pts) and Bernard Berrian (22 pts). Although disappointed by this week's performance, As American as a Crane Kick to the Face isn't going to stay down for long. They finished 8-6 on the season and hold the #3 position in the playoffs.
Next week will see them at Team Jizz Lobbers . The Crane Kick were 1-1 against Team Jizz Lobbers during the regular season. The last time the two clubs played saw As American as a Crane Kick to the Face winning the matchup 212-158.

198-136!!
December
4th, 2007
Adrian Peterson (MIN) gained 27 fantasy pts. for Beavis' Nosebleed; Ryan Grant gained 27 pts. for the Crane Kick. Jerious Norwood gained 20 pts. for the Nosebleed; Adrian Peterson (CHI) gained 21 for the Crane Kick. Drew Brees managed 24 for the Nosebleed; Ben Roethlisberger pulled 26 for the Crane Kick. It was that way all week! In almost every position As American as a Crane Kick to the Face outscored Beavis' Nosebleed to pull off a 198-136 win in Week 13.
"I couldn't have asked for more from my team," Coach Altermott told reporters Tuesday. "We had some tough matchups. We needed the win to stay in the playoff hunt. We played our hearts out and we won. I'm very proud of them all."
With one week left in the regular season this win helps to all but solidify the Crane Kick's playoff appearance, as the team is now statistically in 1st place with a record of 8-5 and 2363 points scored this season. Beavis' Nosebleed's loss effectively ends their playoff hopes, as the team will fall 2 games behind league leaders As American as a Crane Kick to the Face, Arsenal FC Gunners, Jizz Lobbers, and Respect My Authority.
Soggy Monday Game Leads to a Crane Kick Miss; Lose to Gunners 169-181
November 27th, 2007
Ben Roethlisberger failed to complete a touchdown pass and As American as a Crane Kick to the Face fail to overcome a 12 points deficit, losing to the Arsenal FC Gunners 169-181. The Crane Kick were also hampered by an injry to Marc Bulger, who left the game against the Seattle Seahawks with -1 fantasy points early Sunday morning. The Crane Kick bounced back though, due to a 42 pt receiving effort from Chad Johnson and a 54 point defensive performance by the Chicago Bears Defense and Special Teams units, to close to within 11 points of the Gunners prior to the Monday Night game between the Miami Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Unfortunately poor weather and field conditions stalled the Steeler's passing game. Roethlisberger failed score a passing touchdown and tight end Heath Miller went without a catch. The Crane Kick was unable to recover.
Week 13 sees As American as a Crane Kick to the Face at 7-5 and facing fierce rival Beavis' Nosebleed. The Crane Kick is still in the playoff picture, holding the #3 spot and looks to pick up a win as they move towards the playoffs beginning Week 15.
For the third week in a row As
American as a Crane Kick to the Face continued its resurgence,
pulling out a Week 11 victory over Team
Ownage 152-104. Prior to the week's action the
Crane Kick were statistically in
1st place
in the Marysville Football League, having compiled a 6-4 record and having
scored a league high 1844 fantasy points through ten weeks of play.
The team, now 7-4, compiled it's first three-game win streak of the season and
remains in first place statistically, although tied with Respect My
Authority, Jizz Lobbers, and Arsenal FC
Gunners
for the best record in the
league.
Maurice Morris (16 pts), newly acquired Seattle running back, and veteran Willis McGahee (22 pts) helped carry the Crane Kick towards victory, despite poor play from the usually consistent Ben Roethlisberger (12 pts), who struggled throughout the day in a losing effort for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Titans Defense/Special Teams also struggled, allowing Denver to score 34 points and managing only 18 fantasy points this week.
"We certainly didn't play with the consistency I've come to expect from this team," Coach Altermott said following the Monday Night game between the Titans and the Broncos. "Still, we played better than our opponent this week. It was enough to get us a win and one step closer to the post-season. But we can play better ball and certainly we'll need to play better ball as we close out the season."
The remaining three weeks of the regular season look to challenge the Crane Kick, who face theArsenal FC Gunnersin Week 12. Then they end the season with two teams the unit has already lost to earlier this year: Beavis' Nosebleed and Respect My Authority. All three of the remaining opponents are playoff contenders.
Jizz Lobbers Can't Keep it Up; Crane Kick Rises to the
Occasion
November 12th, 2007
As American as a Crane Kick to the Face
started off slow but picked up speed in the afternoon, going on to defeat the
Jizz Lobbers
210-158. Ben Roethlisberger continued to shine,
earning 37 fantasy points while throwing for 278 yards with 2 TDs and
1 Int. Newly acquired veteran QB Marc Bulger also lit up the field,
throwing for 302 yards and 2 TDs- a 32 point day.
The surprise of the day has to the the Bears Defense/Special Teams, which held the Raiders to just 6 points and forcing 2 fumbles and 1 interception. Adewale Ogunleye (pictured at left) sacked QB Josh McCown and forced a fumble that eventually led to another Chicago score. The Defense/Special Teams' 49 fantasy points helped put the Jizz Lobbers away.
"We've won two in a row and are pleased with the performance of our team," Coach Altermott told the assembled press gathered outside Miyagi Field Monday morning. "We're 6-4 in the league and looking to make a strong run towards the playoffs. We couldn't be happier with the result."
The only concerns coming out of Sunday's matchup is the play of the team's running backs- Marshawn Lynch and Willis McGehee. Lynch, left the game limping late in the 4th quarter after posting 19 points, while McGehee struggled carrying the ball. His 17 carries for 60 yards and 1 TD (13 fanatsy points) is his second disappointing outing in a row.
Despite these issues, As American as a Crane Kick to the Face has now moved into a 5-way tie for 1st place in the league. (statistically ranked at #1) Next week they host Team Ownage (2-8) and look to sweep the heavily Colts-laden team, having already won their Week 4 meeting 212-162.

Strong performances by Marshawn Lynch of the Bills (35 pts), Bobby Engram of the Seahawks (35 pts), and the Titans Defense & Special Teams (50 pts) also helped to secure this close victory.
The Crane Kick now pull to within a game of league leaders Team Jizz Lobbers and Respect My Authority, both with 6-3 records. A win next week over the Jizz Lobbers would even up the series at a game a piece and could propel the Crane Kick into first place in the league.
Preview:
Forrest Griffin vs. As American as a Crane Kick to the Face
November 3rd, 2007
Tomorrow As American as a Crane Kick to the Face hosts Forrest Griffin . Experts are callling the end result a toss-up, with both teams evenly matched across the board. One thing working in the Crane Kick's favor is the unexpected trade of FG QB Tom Brady to Mr Burns' Hired Goons for QB Brett Favre.
"This is a move that I can't explain at all," Coach Altermott said in response to news of the trade. "Why trade away the league most valuable player with just under half the season remaining? Doesn't make much sense to me."
Crane Kick Lose to Goons (Snakes) at Home
October 29th, 2007
As American as a Crane Kick continued it's downward slide this week losing at home to the Mr. Burns' Hired Goons (formerly the Muthafuckin Snakes) 191-114. This was a vastly different outcome that the Week 1 meeting between these two teams; a meeting that saw the Crane Kick winning 168-119 and sending the Goons on a 0-4 start to the season.
"We played our best football, but it wasn't enough to overcome our opponents this week," Coach Altermott said following the loss. "Our matchups weren't favorable this week. That's it. We started the right guys, but it wasn't enough."
Even though the loss dropped the Crane Kick to a record of 4-4, they are still in possession of 3rd place statistically in the league and still very much in the playoff hunt. Week 9 brings Forrest Griffin into town and As American as a Crane Kick looks to finish the sweep they started with the victory in Week 2.
"FG has a great quarterback... perhaps the best in the league," Altermott told the press Monday morning. "The rest of the team is average. We like our matchups this week and we're confident we'll end the 3 game slide we're on."
